Today on the show I talk with Arthur Alligood about how he got into songwriting, the value of music theory, and his latest project he’s raising support for on Kickstarter.
Jordan and I met through one of Joy Ike’s cultivator chats a few months ago. I heard him talking about how he was considering starting a podcast, and I was just getting ready to launch mine. I knew I wanted to have him on at some point to talk about it, and here it is.
I really appreciated Jordan’s honesty and transparency, and in listening to the first episode of his new podcast, Convos with Jordan Chavous, I knew we would have a great conversation as well. Be sure to check out his website to find his podcast as well!

Joy Ike is one of my favorite singer/songwriters ever and is this week’s guest. She talks about writing music during the pandemic, her mentoring program called Cultivators, and an article she recently wrote called Outside The Box, which addresses the issue of systemic racism in our country.

I had a lovely time talking with Bill from Chords of Orion. He makes ambient music and has a thriving YouTube channel. We also chat about his new album, Rumination, and other stuff like Frippertronics.
